Job summary

HMR Designs is seeking a CAD Drafter to create accurate scenic and furniture production drawings in AutoCAD for custom event fabrication projects. You will collaborate with Design, Sales, Production, and Installation teams to turn concepts into detailed drawings.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, creative, and capable of juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3–5 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• 3-5 years of experience in scenic, set, or interior design.
• Demonstrated eye for proportion, composition, and visual design.
• Portfolio showcasing scenic, exhibit, retail, experiential, furniture, or environmental design work.
• Ability to balance creative design with fabrication constraints.
• Familiarity with custom fabrication, exhibit development, or scenic fabrication.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently while collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate scenic and furniture production drawings in AutoCAD for custom event fabrication projects.
• Collaborate with Design, Sales, Production, and Installation teams to convert design concepts into detailed drawings.
• Ensure projects are completed accurately, on schedule, and with complete documentation.
