Job summary

Star is seeking a CAD Drafter to support the design and manufacturing of tradeshow exhibits, millwork, cabinetry, and related fabrication environments. The role focuses on producing detailed drawings and technical documentation for booths, interiors, and retail rollout programs.

The successful candidate will translate concepts into precise 2D/3D CAD drawings, collaborate with engineers and builders, and manage design files for timely project delivery while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in CAD drafting (experience in retail, tradeshow or cabinetry strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Pivotal in translating design concepts into detailed technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
• Collaborate closely with Project Engineers, Design Engineers, and builders, to ensure accurate communication of design intent.
• Manage design files to prevent conflicts, prioritize tasks for project deadlines, and provide technical support during manufacturing, ensuring designs meet quality standards.
• Use problem-solving skills to address design challenges and optimizing designs for functionality and cost-effectiveness.
• Complete AutoCAD drawings (2D and 3D, technical, graphic, CNC, and setup) for assigned projects in a timely manner
• Actively participate in internal project meetings, including project margin and variance reviews, new business production meetings and project debriefs
• Complete daily reporting responsibilities
