Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Miami is seeking a Part-Time Party and Events Host to plan, coordinate, and execute in-store events, including children’s birthday parties and crafts. You will engage with guests, guide activities, and ensure a fun, safe experience while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include coordinating event logistics, face painting, upselling add-ons, handling emails and calls, and supporting store operations. Prior experience with kids’ events is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment and ensure satisfaction.
• Demonstrate and lead party activities and crafts, including face painting and other activities as needed.
• Coordinate party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc., according to company standards.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members; perform admin tasks such as emails and calls.
• Set up, run, and breakdown events, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and adherence to SOPs.
