Job summary

Michaels is seeking an in-store Event Coordinator in Casa Grande, AZ. You will plan and coordinate events such as kids birthday parties, engage customers of all ages, and deliver friendly checkout experiences while supporting store operations.

You’ll demonstrate crafts, manage add-ons, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to SOPs, while promoting rewards programs and multi-channel shopping options.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have excellent people skills and strong communication abilities.
• Must be organized, proactive and able to solve problems creatively.
• Must communicate clearly, including written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events within the Michaels store.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist shoppers throughout the store.
• Support checkout with fast, friendly service and basic store operations.
• Assist with event setup, materials, cleanup and safety standards.
• Engage customers with rewards programs and Omni-channel processes.
