Job summary

Michaels Stores in Orion Township, MI is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-store events including kids birthday parties. You will deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop, and ensure fast checkouts while handling truck unloads, restocking, and store recovery.

Responsibilities include engaging clients of all ages, instructing crafts, arranging party add-ons, communicating with clients and staff, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Energetic and enthusiastic personality; able to handle job stress.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in-store, including children's birthday parties and classes.
• Engage customers of all ages and provide fast, friendly checkout assistance.
• Demonstrate crafts and lead activities, including face painting and party add-ons.
• Coordinate with clients and store team, manage emails and calls.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, and SOP compliance.
