Public Library Of Princ is seeking a Marketing & Communications Assistant to support content creation and promotions across print and digital platforms. The role emphasizes brand consistency, engaging copy, and high-quality visuals.

You will design materials, update website imagery, print flyers, manage social posts with the Social Media Committee, and produce newsletters and press releases while ensuring accuracy and deadlines in a collaborative library setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, public relations, graphic design, visual communications or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Designs marketing and promotional materials using brand guidelines.
• Updates website images as needed.
• Prints and displays flyers and handbills.
• Collaborates with Social Media Committee to develop, schedule and publish content for Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn; monitor engagement and assist with reporting on performance metrics.
• Writes clear, engaging copy for web, email, social media and print.
• Prepares and distributes monthly press releases highlighting upcoming library events and programs.
• Drafts and distributes press releases using source materials gathered through staff interviews.
• Produces and schedules monthly email newsletters.
• Proofreads communications materials for accuracy, consistency and style guidelines.
• Maintains brand consistency across all communications and materials.
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Performs communications and marketing duties per priorities and deadlines.
• Takes pride in the library and creates a safe, inviting atmosphere.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
