Role Overview:

As our Creative Growth Lead, you will be the driving force behind Magic Story’s content-driven growth. This is a high-impact, creative hustler role for someone who can ideate like a content creator, execute like a growth hacker, and iterate like a scientist. You’ll have the autonomy to launch campaigns and the toolkit (including AI creative tools) to amplify them. If you’re equal parts content-obsessed storyteller and data-driven growth strategist, we want you on our team yesterday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Short-Form Content Creation: Produce viral-worthy short videos, memes, and interactive posts that captivate kids (and their parents) on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms. You’ll storyboard, film/edit (using tools like CapCut), and publish content at a lightning pace, riding trending sounds and challenges to keep Magic Story at the top of feeds.
  • AI-Boosted Creative Production: Leverage AI tools (GPT-4, Midjourney, Sora, etc.) to brainstorm ideas, generate visuals, and scale our content output. For example, use Midjourney to whip up meme graphics or ChatGPT to punch up copy – exponentially increasing our creative throughput without sacrificing quality. You’ll constantly explore new creative tech (from video filters to voiceovers) to give our content an innovative edge.
  • Growth Experiments & User Acquisition: Design and execute high-velocity growth experiments across marketing channels. This could mean A/B testing different hooks in our videos, trying a surprise weekend TikTok challenge, or launching a micro-campaign on an offbeat platform. You’ll set hypotheses, move quickly to test, and double down on what works to drive app installs and user sign-ups. Rapid iteration is your norm – launch, learn, optimize, repeat.
  • UGC & Community Virality: Fuel Magic Story’s user-generated content and viral loops. You’ll encourage our users to create and share their own story content (think co-creation, partnerships, affiliates, etc.), turning our community into authors. Identify and nurture relationships with influencers/creators in the kids/family space – getting Magic Story featured by popular TikTokers, Instagram parents, or YouTube creators. By blending grassroots community building with strategic influencer partnerships, you’ll amplify our reach exponentially.
  • Funnel Optimization & Automation: Own the end-to-end growth funnel – from first touchpoint to loyal user. Set up automations (e.g., using n8n or Zapier) to streamline content distribution and welcome new users (such as automated welcome email sequences or in-app tips for new sign-ups). Monitor analytics daily: track CTRs, conversion rates, CAC, retention cohorts – and proactively tweak campaigns or landing pages to hit our KPIs. You’ll run growth like a scientist, using data to squeeze out every ounce of improvement and ensure our viral content translates into sustainable user growth.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications & Traits):

  • Content Maverick: You eat, sleep, breathe social content. You’re that person who knows every TikTok trend, viral meme, and emerging platform before others do. Your idea of fun is crafting a TikTok at 2am because inspiration struck. (Bonus if you have a portfolio or TikTok/IG account of your own viral hits!)
  • Growth Hacker Mentality: You pair creativity with an analytical mindset. Terms like A/B testing, cohort analysis, CAC/LTV don’t scare you – they guide you. You love setting ambitious growth goals and experimenting relentlessly to beat them. Data is your feedback loop, and you pivot fast when the numbers speak.
  • AI-Savvy Creator: You’re not afraid to collaborate with AI. Whether it’s prompting ChatGPT to brainstorm 50 caption ideas, using Midjourney to prototype a comic panel, or automating a tedious task with a quick script, you embrace AI and new tools to 10x your output. Tech fluency and curiosity are a must.
  • Autonomous Doer & Leader: This role comes with huge creative freedom – you should thrive with that. We need someone who takes ownership and runs with it. You’re proactive and self-directed: you spot opportunities, craft a plan, and execute. You’ll have support, but you won’t wait around for instructions.
  • High-Energy & Collaborative: You bring infectious enthusiasm. Startup life is chaotic, but you love the adrenaline. You can rally cross-functional teammates around a crazy idea and turn it into reality. You’re as comfortable hopping on camera for a quick skit as you are presenting growth results to the team. Positive vibes and team spirit are in your DNA.
  • Experience: 3+ years in growth marketing, social media content, or related roles where you drove user growth for a B2C digital product (bonus points if it’s a UGC or mobile app). Demonstrated success in building an audience or scaling a community through content. Strong writing skills and an eye for design/visual storytelling. Prior experience with influencer outreach or community management is a plus.
