Every era of technology makes one big promise. Ours promised unlimited connection and delivered a decade of swiping, scrolling, and staying home.
We're building the correction.
Hi. Human Interest is an early-stage social tech startup building a paid, verified membership platform designed to bring people together through shared interests, vibrant communities and real-world experiences. We believe technology should make it easier to find your people, discover what's happening around you, and actually connect beyond a screen.
Our ambition is to change how people meet and build meaningful connections in cities around the world.
The app is built and currently in internal beta on iOS and Android. We're preparing to launch our first city, New York, in January 2027, with founding community partners already coming on board.
We're at the stage where the right people can make an enormous difference to what this company becomes.
We're looking for someone who knows how to launch a consumer app, understands what makes people connect, and has the creative instincts to make something new impossible to ignore.
You’ll work directly with the founder and a small core team to shape how Hi. enters the world. From the first campaigns and creator collaborations to the social content and community moments that get New Yorkers talking, you’ll have genuine ownership of the creative launch.
This is an opportunity to get in early, bring your own vision, experiment, move quickly and see the direct impact of your work. As Hi. grows beyond New York, there's room for the right person to grow with it.
We want someone with ideas, taste, initiative and commercial instinct. Someone who sees an opportunity and knows what to do with it. Someone who can take an idea from a conversation to a live campaign without waiting to be told what happens next.
Your mission: Build anticipation for our New York launch, turn attention into members, and create the campaigns, content and cultural momentum that establish Hi. as a new way to connect.
You’ll lead the creative growth strategy and campaigns behind our New York launch, working closely with our existing community team on founding host activations and in-person experiences. You’ll shape how we promote these moments and turn them into awareness, engagement and membership growth, while the community team manages host relationships and on-the-ground coordination.
We don't expect you to know everything. We care about what you're brilliant at, what you're excited to learn, and what you can make happen.
This is an equity-first role, offering a modest cash base alongside significant early-team equity and a genuine stake in the company you're helping build.
It's right for someone who wants to get involved early, make a meaningful impact and share in what the company becomes, and who is in a position to prioritize long-term upside over salary right now.
We'll start with a paid trial sprint with clearly agreed deliverables, so both sides can work together before committing to the full role.
We'll share exact compensation and equity details in the first conversation.
