Job summary

Hy-Vee in Olathe, KS is seeking a part-time Floral Designer to craft custom arrangements and lead the floral clerks. You will handle in-store, phone, and online orders, ensuring accuracy and high-quality presentation.

This role requires strong design skills, customer service, and the ability to manage the department when needed. Responsibilities include greeting customers, counseling on flower care, fulfilling weddings and special orders, and maintaining fresh stock while monitoring inventory

Qualifications

• Strong floral design skills and knowledge of floral products, care and handling
• Experience leading floral clerks and managing customer orders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide guidance on floral care and arrangements
• Create custom floral arrangements to customer specifications
• Lead floral clerks and train on simple designs and ordering procedures
• Process and fulfill FTD, Teleflora, and in-store orders accurately and confidentially
• Inventory flowers, assess freshness, and replace damaged stock
• Assist with in-store events and department coverage when needed
