Big Spaceship is seeking a Creative Director - Social to lead creative vision and process for multi-brand clients. The role blends culturally relevant, social-first ideation with hands-on execution across organic and paid social, creator programming, events, and integrated campaign work.

Own end-to-end creative direction while maintaining a consistently high standard across deliverables. Drive ideas that feel native to social platforms, supported by strategic grounding and strong client-facing communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead creative vision and process for a multi-brand client, ensuring quality and consistency across organic and paid social, creator programs, events, and integrated campaigns.
- Develop and champion culturally relevant, strategically grounded concepts; present and lead confidently in client meetings, presentations, and pitches.
- Remain hands-on, including the ability to shoot and edit content on an iPhone while understanding what makes social content feel native to the platform.
- Oversee and inspire creatives and creators, supporting their best work while maintaining a cohesive creative point of view and working within an IAT.
- Bring a flexible creative voice, shifting between tones from playful and unexpected to elevated and aspirational.
- Partner with strategy, account, production, and data teams to translate briefs and social performance insights into strong creative ideas.
- Collaborate across art, copy, design, creator, and post-production to provide creative direction that delivers breakthrough work and business impact for brands.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of creative experience, including experience leading both social always-on and full-service campaign work, with comfort creating and editing social-first content, including shooting on an iPhone.
- Deep understanding of social platforms, stunts, and activations across organic social and paid social, including leveraging creators and partnerships to drive engagement.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ambition to create work that pushes brands toward ideas that have not yet been done in their category.
- Strong conceptual and strategic skills, with the ability to adapt and translate ideas across multiple channels and executions using a social-first mindset and a publishing approach (including franchises, social series, stunt activations, and unexpected partnerships).
- Experience managing and mentoring creative teams and/or multidisciplinary creator teams across multiple stakeholders and large-scale production with hundreds of assets.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the poise and judgment to build client trust and help develop the best work.
- Proven ability to collaborate across creative, strategy, account, production, and other disciplines.
- Strong understanding of brand voice and the ability to adapt creatively for different brands and audiences.

Compensation
The salary band for this role is $160,000 - $180,000 per year.
Where a prospective new hire's base salary will fall within this band depends on factors including qualifications and experience, the skill level required in the role, market rates, and the salaries of existing crew members at SPCSHP within the same role to maintain equity.
