Amazon seeks a Creative Director for Retail Experience who leads UX design for Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablets and Kindle, shaping content strategy and brand alignment across in-store and digital touchpoints.
You will guide cross-functional teams, drive user-centric research, and translate creative direction into scalable experiences that optimize customer journeys and conversion across demo devices and retail fixtures.
As the Creative Director for Retail Experience, you are passionate about the retail experience and expert in user experience (UX) design and brand principles. You help create the content strategy for how new products like Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablets and Kindle come to life, ensuring every touchpoint is intuitive, engaging, and customer-centric.
Working in a cross-functional team environment, you are looked to as the expert for Amazon retail across the voice assistant and smart home categories. You understand the retail landscape, demo and fixture technologies, and translate creative direction to our technology framework while applying UX design methodologies to optimize customer interactions. You develop customer journey maps, and design experiences that reduce friction and delight shoppers at every stage of their in-store discovery process.
This position will play a pivotal role in gathering requirements for all asset needs across channels and devising efficient strategies for the launch of content at scale for our demo devices, digital screens and detail page experiences. You'll leverage UX best practices—including, wireframing, and iterative design—to ensure our retail fixtures and demo experiences are accessible, discoverable, and conversion-optimized.
As the Creative Director for Retail Experience, you are also responsible for overseeing the end-to-end content creation and upload for Amazon's retail store and demo experiences. This role blends project management expertise with a deep understanding of brand architecture, content strategy, creative vision, and our target audience to deliver innovative and impactful content. You design for retail environments, and validate design decisions through customer feedback and behavioral data.
You strive to invent and simplify, creating strategies and playbooks that the global retail teams can use to make their everyday jobs easier. Your North Star is creating engaging retail experiences that are quickly recognized by Amazon shoppers globally, while staying true to our brand voice and delivering exceptional user experiences that convert browsers into buyers.
