About the Team:

At CookUnity, the Brand Marketing team is responsible for developing and executing world-class marketing activations and experiences that drive organic growth through brand awareness and earn loyalty beyond reason. This team sets the vision and strategy for the brand and brings it to life with strategic rigor, creative excellence, and cultural relevance. Through insight-inspired, data-led brand storytelling and experiences, CookUnity’s Brand Marketing team will build a category-defining brand loved by an entire generation of foodies.

The role:

We are searching for a visionary, powerhouse creative leader to help craft the future of the CookUnity brand at scale. This individual will lead the development and execution of the brand identity system, visual communication, and all other visual manifestations of the brand. Specifically, this role will focus on driving the creative direction for visual assets, brand guidelines, packaging, and ensuring that our brand resonates with consumers in impactful and consistent ways. You will lead a talented team and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to produce creative solutions that capture the essence of CookUnity’s purpose and values while standing apart (and ahead) of the category.

The ideal candidate is a visionary thinker, creatively ambitious, and highly attuned to the zeitgeist and emerging culture with the confidence to set and pursue a bold brand future. You are an enthusiastic foodie with passion for the culinary arts and chefs.

Responsibilities:
  • Brand Identity: Oversee the development and evolution of CookUnity’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touch points, from packaging to digital assets and marketing materials.
  • Packaging Design: Lead the creative direction and design of product packaging, ensuring it reflects CookUnity’s brand values, drives differentiation, and delivers the elevated consumer experience we strive for. Ensure all packaging design aligns with the brand’s voice, sustainability initiatives, and innovative trends.
  • Creative Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance and creative direction to ensure the highest quality output. Act as a subject matter expert at a company level, inspiring a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration throughout the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, chef partners, and production teams to ensure creative concepts are aligned with CookUnity’s strategic goals and creative vision.
  • Brand Strategy & Execution: Partner with senior leadership to ideate, develop, and implement bold, ambitious strategies that break through and drive disruption in support of the mission and overall brand vision.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay on top of industry trends, emerging design practices, and packaging innovations to keep CookUnity’s brand identity at the forefront of the market.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the highest standards of creative excellence in all deliverables, from conceptualization to final execution, while maintaining a cohesive and authentic brand voice.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years experience leading diverse global creative teams, including at least 3 years in a Creative Director role
  • Experience building and scaling an in-house creative function (e.g., tech, AI, or innovative consumer brand), including team structure, processes, and creative workflows
  • A big-idea thinker who can articulate and sell bold creative concepts to executive teams and external stakeholders
  • Design thought leader and award-winning portfolio
  • Demonstrated strengths in creative thinking and ability to up-level insights into compelling concepts
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, confident, and relentless in pursuit of creative excellence
  • Direct experience in D2C, B2C, startups preferred; food experience is a plus
  • A background in art direction or visual design/communications

Compensation
  • All final pay rates will be determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
  • Pay Range for this position: $170,000 - $190,000 per year.
