Job summary

Profluent Bio is seeking a Creative Director to own the brand’s look, feel, and public presence in Emeryville, CA. You will lead end-to-end creative work—from concept to published content—balancing scientific accuracy with compelling visuals.

You'll work with the Head of Comms & Brand and CEO, managing a small team and external partners, shaping our identity across video, web, social, events, and campaigns. This is a player-coach role in a fast‑growing biotech AI company.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years in brand and creative roles.
• Lead creative as a Creative Director or equivalent across mediums.
• Translate dense technical material into clear, human, non-hype work.

Responsibilities

• Translate Profluent's frontier science into a brand and public presence.
• Own the creative process across brand surfaces from concept to final deliverables.
• Lead and evolve the visual identity system including typography, color, imagery, and motion.
• Manage budget within Comms & Brand and build the function over time by hiring and leading designers and contractors.
• Oversee vendors and contractors (videographers, designers, agencies) as extensions of the team.
• Direct imagery and video production for major announcements and social channels.
• Shape website strategy and content with design and dev partners.
