Creative Director – National Ground Game

Location: Remote (U.S. Only)

Job Type: Part-Time, 1099 Independent Contractor

Compensation: 70k-90k/Year

National Ground Game is a progressivepolitical action committee (PAC)building grassroots power, electing bold leaders, and challenging the political status quo through organizing, storytelling, and movement media. We believe creative strategy is not just a department—it’s central to how we organize, mobilize, and win.

About the Role

We’re seeking aCreative Directorto lead and shape the visual and narrative identity of National Ground Game across all platforms. From digital campaigns and video content to social media graphics and merch drops, you’ll set the tone, build systems, and drive cohesion across everything we put into the world.

The ideal candidate is a visionary storyteller with a strong political sense and deep experience managing creative teams in fast-paced, mission-driven environments. You’ll work closely with leadership, communications, organizing, and external partners to ensure that NGG’s creative output is bold, strategic, and unforgettable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own theoverall creative vision and brand identityof National Ground Game across platforms and campaigns.
  • Manage a growing team ofdesigners, video editors, content writers, and contractors, ensuring alignment and quality across deliverables.
  • Translate campaign goals and organizing priorities intovisual concepts and creative strategies.
  • Oversee development of graphics, video scripts, social content, web assets, and merchandise design.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Director, Content Writer, and Fundraising Director to align messaging and creative execution.
  • Lead brainstorms, creative briefs, and production schedules to keep projects on track and on message.
  • Ensure all content is inclusive, accessible, and rooted in NGG’s progressive values.
  • Track content performance and iterate based on feedback and analytics.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience increative direction, political media, or campaign communications.
  • Strong portfolio of visual and narrative work across platforms (design, video, copy, branding).
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary creative teams in a high-volume environment.
  • Deep understanding of progressive politics, political storytelling, and narrative strategy.
  • Proficiency in tools likeAdobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, Google Workspace; video editing experience is a plus.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Clear communicator who can give and receive feedback constructively.
  • Bonus: Experience in merch design, digital organizing, or cultural strategy.
