Job summary

York Design Group (York Wallcoverings) seeks a Creative Designer to drive the development of innovative wallcovering collections. You will translate trends in color, pattern, and materials into compelling designs for interior environments, collaborating across Product Development, Studio, Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing.

You will lead assigned collections from concept through production, using AVA, Photoshop or NedGraphics to color designs and prepare production-ready files.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Print Design or Surface Design preferred.
• At least 3 years of wallpaper or textile design experience.
• Proficiency in AVA, Photoshop, NedGraphics or equivalent.
• Understanding of print separations and production requirements.
• Knowledge of color, pattern and design trends for interiors.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Develop original design concepts, inspiration boards, and color palettes.
• Collaborate with surface designers on artwork development.
• Lead collections through development, approvals, and timelines.
• Apply print methods, color separation, embossing, and production requirements.
• Prepare files for pre-production and manufacturing using industry software.
• Coordinate with Product Development, Studio, Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing.
