Job summary

United We Dream is seeking a savvy Creative Design & Website Associate who will shape UWD’s visual identity and digital presence, crafting eye-catching content for social platforms, websites, campaigns, and member materials.

You’ll be a core member of the Narrative Team, guiding design from ideation through deployment, building campaign pages, and driving movement storytelling with strong UI/UX and accessibility focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in graphic design, website management, and/or front-end development (nonprofit or movement space preferred).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design, branding, and web development projects.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Figma or similar tools.
• Frontend development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript); experience with CMS platforms like WordPress or Webflow.
• Understanding of UX/UI and accessible design practices.

Responsibilities

• Design engaging static and short-form video content for social media, campaigns, and rapid response moments daily.
• Develop branded campaign visuals, merchandise, and materials for members to foster identity and belonging.
• Manage and maintain UWD’s website properties, ensuring high performance and accessibility; build campaign-specific sites and landing pages.
• Lead full web project lifecycle from ideation to launch, including wireframes, UI design, frontend/backend development, and deployment.
• Implement technical SEO and AEO best practices to maximize reach and visibility.
• Collaborate with leaders across departments to ensure accessible, compelling content across platforms.
• Provide design and web development support to cross-team projects, including petitions and digital organizing tools.
• Collaborate with movement partners on digital and social media needs for campaigns.
• Contribute to social media strategy by ideating, creating, scheduling, and publishing content with clear captions.
• Monitor trends and audience conversations to inform content strategy; manage content calendars and performance tracking.
