Job summary

TikTok invites ambitious design students to join our LA team as interns focused on product design for our short‑form video, live streaming, and local services platforms. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, and Data to explore ideas, prototype interactions, and deliver compelling user experiences.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or Master’s student in a technical/design discipline with a focus on user experience.
• Experience or coursework demonstrating strong UI and interaction design fundamentals.
• Ability to build high-fidelity prototypes using AI-assisted coding tools.

Responsibilities

• Own product design for TikTok’s short‑video, live streaming, and local services offerings across C‑ and B‑side experiences.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Research, and Data teams to drive design iterations and deliver optimal solutions.
• Continuously improve UX by tracking design trends, user behavior, pain points, and aesthetics.
• Support design implementation, collaborating with engineers on fidelity and style adaptation.
• Apply AI tools to boost design efficiency and clarify technical specs for handoff.
