Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and sanitation regulations
• Ability to obtain food safety certification
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of foods according to production guidelines and recipes
• Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling
• Safely use knives and utensils
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers and other equipment
• Cook using diverse methods (roasting, baking, steaming) for meats and vegetables
• Arrange and portion food according to guidelines
• Store foods properly following safety policies
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
• Maintain courteous service to guests and coworkers
• Adhere to safety policies and protect company assets
