Great Western Dining Service is seeking a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals in a fast‑paced kitchen. You will set up stations, follow recipes, and ensure HACCP compliance while delivering visually appealing dishes to guests.

The ideal candidate has proven cooking experience, knowledge of different cooking methods, and a strong team mindset with excellent communication in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as cook.
• Knowledge of cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling).
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate clearly.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
• Prepare, portion, cook food items for various meal periods or special events.
• Ability to follow basic recipes and production information.
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Follow all company HACCP and safety policies.
