Job summary

Great Western Dining Service at Pratt Community College is seeking a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals. The ideal candidate can follow instructions, move deftly in a busy kitchen, and multitask while using a variety of ingredients and techniques.

You will set up workstations, prepare ingredients, portion and cook foods for meals and events, follow recipes, and ensure great presentation. Maintaining a sanitized, orderly kitchen and adhering to HACCP and safety policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook.
• Knowledge of cooking procedures (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
• Prepare, portion, cook food items for various meal periods or special events.

Great Western Dining Service at our Pratt Community College location is looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important.
