Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a Cook to join our team. You will prepare a variety of foods following recipes, set up your station, measure ingredients, and use kitchen equipment safely while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.

You will contribute to a positive guest experience, while adapting to client needs and production requirements in a dynamic food service environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, sanitation, and storage.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, and peeling.
• Uses utensils safely and operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods.
• Garnishes and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food per safety policies and sanitizes areas and equipment.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
