Job summary

Aramark at Clemson University's Reeves Football Facility is seeking a Cook to bring recipes to life while maintaining safety standards and quality on campus. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, following production guidelines and using fresh ingredients to craft flavorful dishes.

As part of the Clemson dining team, you will set up stations, prepare ingredients, and collaborate with staff to deliver high-quality meals for students, athletes, and guests in a dynamic university environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required
• Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of foods according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
• Ensure security of company assets
