Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team. You'll help bring recipes to life, prepare a variety of foods, and work with fresh ingredients and standard recipes.

You will set up stations, measure ingredients, use knives and kitchen equipment, and ensure food safety guidelines are followed. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Prior cooking experience and flexibility are valued; ability to obtain food safety certification is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
