Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to bring recipes to life on our team. You will work with fresh ingredients and industry equipment, exploring different cuisines and cooking styles while following production guidelines and safety procedures.

You will set up stations, measure ingredients, operate ovens, stoves, slicers and mixers, and ensure proper storage and sanitation. A positive demeanor and customer service mindset are essential in our food service operation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations (sanitation, handling, storage).
• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrates math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use utensils including knives.
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods for meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Garnish and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food properly following safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and staff.
• Follow Aramark safety policies and food safety procedures.
