Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to help bring recipes to life in a fast-paced setting. You will work with fresh ingredients and various equipment to create diverse dishes, while following production guidelines and safety procedures.

You will set up stations, measure ingredients, and execute a range of cooking techniques. Strong teamwork, accurate food handling, and a passion for quality are essential in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
• Interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses different cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines
• Stores food properly adhering to safety policies
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests and colleagues
• Adheres to safety policies and ensures security of company assets
