You’ll apply cooking techniques, measure ingredients, and operate kitchen equipment while adhering to food safety standards. Exceptional attention to detail and teamwork are essential for delivering quality meals to our clients and guests.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (handling, sanitation, storage).
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams using various methods on meats, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food properly following safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests.
