In this role you will experiment with different cuisines and cooking styles, set up workstations, measure ingredients, and operate ovens, stoves, and mixers. A positive demeanor and professional service with guests are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Good written and verbal interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food following safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests and staff.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and protects company assets.
