Job summary

Aramark is seeking a cook to join our kitchen team, bringing passion for cooking and creativity while following production guidelines and safety procedures. You will work with fresh ingredients and a variety of cooking styles to bring recipes to life and delight guests.

Responsibilities include preparing meals to standardized recipes, maintaining workstation setup, practicing proper food handling and sanitation, and contributing to a positive guest experience through excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Validated knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and sanitation.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines.
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation.
