Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Validated knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and safety regulations.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, and peeling.
• Safely uses knives and operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses multiple cooking methods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Maintains food safety and sanitation; cleans and sanitizes areas and equipment.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests and coworkers.
• Follows Aramark safety policies and procedures, including food safety and security.
