Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to bring recipes to life with creativity in a fast-paced environment. You will work with fresh ingredients and equipment, set up stations, and follow production guidelines and safety procedures to ensure quality.

You will explore various cuisines and cooking styles, prepare ingredients, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer-friendly service. This role offers opportunities to develop new skills and grow within Aramark.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely uses utensils including knives.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Maintains proper plating and portions according to guidelines.
• Keeps work areas clean and adheres to food safety policies and sanitation procedures.
• Delivers good customer service with a positive demeanor toward guests and colleagues.
