Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (sanitation, storage).
• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to recipes and production guidelines.
• Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, and chopping.
• Safely use knives and various utensils; operate ovens, stoves, and mixers.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use multiple cooking methods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion foods per guidelines.
• Store food following safety policies; clean and sanitize work areas.
• Maintain positive customer service and demeanor with guests and coworkers.
• Follow Aramark safety policies and protect company assets.
• Adhere to all procedures and be prepared for changes in duties.
