Job summary

Kennedy International School seeks a positive Communications and Social Media Content Coordinator to orchestrate editorial content across websites, newsletters, and social platforms. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer, editor, and visual storyteller who works closely with the Marketing and Communications Team to spotlight stories, programs, and the community while maintaining consistent messaging.

Working with multiple departments and the Multimedia Content Coordinator, you will develop

Qualifications

• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
• Experience creating content for social media and managing brand accounts.
• Strong understanding of social media formats and best practices.
• Experience creating photography, short-form video, reels, stories, and other digital content.
• Strong visual judgement and how photography, video, design and copy work together.
• Experience with content management systems, email marketing platforms, social media publishing tools; FinalSite a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with multiple deadlines and publishing schedules.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, leadership, students and community members.
• Ability to work independently from idea through publication.
• Strong attention to detail and maintaining brand/editorial standards.
• Experience in education, nonprofit organizations, communications, journalism, marketing or related environment preferred.
• Bilingual ability (French and/or Japanese) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outward-facing editorial content, social media, newsletters, and website communications.
• Develop and manage content calendars; publish and maintain social channels.
• Support community engagement across platforms and implement communications plans.
• Assist in development and launch of Kennedy International School’s new website (early 2027).
