Job summary

HNTB is seeking an intern for the Communications and Engagement team in Ohio. You will support content creation, event support, storytelling, social media development, and multimedia production on transportation and infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in relevant fields and have strong writing skills, experience with Adobe CC, and a willingness to travel within Ohio. This is a full-time internship with no relocation provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing communication materials including newsletters, presentations, fact sheets, social media content, and public engagement materials.
• Support the creation of visual content including graphics, photography, short videos, and other digital media assets that align with client/HNTB brand standards.
• Visit project sites and company events to capture photos, video footage, and employee stories for use in internal and external communications.
• Conduct interviews with project team members and employee-owners and help create storytelling packages highlighting projects, career experiences, and community impact.
• Help maintain and organize communication resources, photo libraries, and project-related content.
• Conduct basic research on communication trends, community engagement strategies, and best practices to support team initiatives.
• Collaborate with communications, marketing, and project teams to support ongoing campaigns and special projects.
