Job summary

D&W Fresh Market in Michigan is seeking a bakery associate to decorate cakes and support bakery operations. The role covers decorating, merchandising, pricing and customer service to ensure a top-quality guest experience.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and attention to detail. This is a part-time on-site position with opportunities to assist across departments.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes, cookies, and other items per schedule and requests.
• Baking and frying duties as assigned.
• Price, date, wrap and bag bakery products.
• Fill, rotate and merchandise bakery shelves and displays.
• Notify Bakery Manager if products or supplies need ordering.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise.
• Know product differences in price, taste, prep and use.
• Practice suggestive selling with customers.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Follow guest experience guidelines.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
