Job summary

Food City in Owens Cross Roads, AL is hiring a Food Service Associate to deliver friendly, efficient customer service and assist in daily bakery and food service tasks. You will greet customers, help with cake decorating, maintain display cases, take phone orders, and ensure freshness and proper dating of products.

On-site shifts require reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced store environment. Experience is a plus but not required; the company offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food service experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions; perform routine tasks with daily interactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Decorate specialty cakes, cupcakes and cookies; maintain cases.
• Take telephone orders for food and specialty cakes and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain display cases, workstation, and surrounding areas neat and clean.
• Assist with proper rotation and dating of food service products.
