Job summary

ShopRite of Washington in Washington, NJ is seeking a Cake Decorator to support the Bakery Department. You will assist the Bakery Manager with baking, dough, icing, packaging, decorating, and maintaining a clean, appealing workspace.

The role requires good English, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, ability to work in warm environments, and a customer‑friendly approach. We offer competitive hourly pay, benefits after eligibility, and opportunities to learn seasonal recipes.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• Assist the Bakery Manager with daily operations.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.
• Experience handling fresh, dried, and/or processed foods.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and maintain schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Prepare trays to Company’s and Customer’s satisfaction.
• Follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor, texture, or color.
• Rotate merchandise to ensure freshness.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Dress and groom according to policy; wear uniform and hat or hair restraint.
• Follow QA and sanitation standards and OSHA safety rules.
• Support in other departments as needed.
