Job summary

ShopRite in Newton, NJ is seeking a Cake Decorator to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, including baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging and decorating of pastries and bread. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and attractive department while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures. 18+ to operate certain equipment; schedule and policies to follow.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to assist Bakery Manager.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and with food products.
• Must be 18+ to operate balers, hi-lo’s, power jacks, and slicing machines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a great customer experience in the bakery.
• Assist in daily bakery operations including baking, dough mixing, icing, packing and decorating.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and visually appealing department; follow safety and QA standards.
• Perform duties in accordance with Company policies and local regulations.
