Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Monroe, LA is seeking a Bakery Decorator to plan and decorate cakes and other baked goods, and support daily bakery operations. You will create attractive designs, prepare decorating materials, and deliver friendly, helpful service to customers while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ age, and food handler certification; weekend and night availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and six months of related experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to operate or handle equipment.
• Food Handler certification required; decorator certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes and baked goods for display or customer requests.
• Trace and copy drawings onto cakes using templates or freehand sketches.
• Identify, match, and blend icing colors; assess texture, aroma, and flavor.
• Select decorating materials and tools to complete customer requests.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment; adhere to safety procedures.
• Provide friendly, customer-service oriented assistance and answer questions.
• Support production by aligning with store promotions and events.
