Solomon Page is hiring an Assistant Designer in New York City for a top lingerie company. This is an individual contributor role supporting commercial designs across collections, aligning with brand concept, fit, color, and fabric.

You will assist with sketches, CADs, and sample room management while collaborating with teams to meet timelines. The position suits an entry-level designer with a strong eye for fashion, excellent organization, and willingness to learn under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Entry level with some design experience in a comparable retail environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; Centric a plus.
• Commercial fashion eye and attention to detail in product styling.
• Strong organizational and presentation skills.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist design team in creating brand-right, commercial designs reflecting direction and strategy.
• Deliver sketches/prototypes with clear construction specifications.
• Build and maintain the sample room.
• Create flat sketches and CAD images.
• Prepare design team for meetings, coordinating boards and samples.
• Communicate development details to internal partners and vendors.
• Support fittings and follow-up with technical design on fit.
• Track development samples and ensure timely delivery.
• Attend routine meetings and partner alignment sessions.
• Adapt designs based on feedback and finish details.
