Position: Creative Arts Therapist

The Creative Arts Therapist will provide clinical support as part of the inter-disciplinary team to efficiently deliver patient care, advocate for patient/family rights, and identify opportunities for expression through modalities such as art therapy, music therapy, and more. The therapist will communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified LCAT preferred; limited permit eligible (working toward supervision hours)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Experience with the population served
• Skills include assessing human development, providing creative arts interventions, and collaborating within an inter-disciplinary team

Position Requirements:

1. Assess needs of patients and families
2. Develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team
3. Provide creative arts clinical interventions
4. Support families
5. Facilitate outlets for expression and coping (e.g., music and art making)
6. Support non-pharmacological pain management (e.g., guided imagery, environmental music)
7. Precept and supervise students (once licensed)
8. Maintain infection prevention protocols
9. Operate computers and digital media devices
10. Collaborate with other Patient and Family Programs for optimal patient experience
