Job summary

StoneBridge Christian Church is seeking a Creative Arts Resident to gain hands-on training across worship leading, service planning, and volunteer coaching. You will collaborate with the Lead Worship Pastor and the Creative Arts Team to craft engaging worship experiences.

The role emphasizes developing technical skills in graphics, lighting, sound, cameras, and video editing while growing leadership abilities and budget planning for Creative Arts.

Qualifications

  • Experience working or volunteering in a worship ministry environment.
  • Vocal proficiency is required.
  • Proficiency in at least one instrument is preferred.
  • Bible college experience or at least 1 year of worship-leading is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute worship services with the Lead Worship Pastor and Creative Arts Team.
  • Develop relationships with team members and volunteers.
  • Set up schedules and communicate with volunteers.
  • Assist in implementing creative elements within services.
  • Lead on stage or in the sound booth on weekends.
  • Plan and participate in monthly worship events with student involvement.
  • Learn and develop tech skills (graphics, lights, sound, stage setup).
  • Learn video editing to aid Communications.
  • Manage Creative Arts budgets.

Position Summary

The Creative Arts Resident will be given hands‑on experience and training in an effort to help them feel confident in all aspects of worship arts including, but not limited to Worship Leading, Planning Services, Leading Volunteers, Training/Coaching Volunteers, Learning and Using tech equipment.

Status

Full-Time Resident, Contracted, 40 hours/week

Weekly Schedule

This is a full‑time position. A basic work schedule consists of Sundays (6:30am-12:30pm), Monday‑Tuesday (8:30am-5:00pm), Wednesdays (8:30am-7:00pm) and Thursdays (8:30a-9:30p). Attendance at all Sunday services is required. Attendance at other events may also be required.

Primary Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with the Lead Worship Pastor and Creative Arts Team to plan and execute services.

  • Get to know all team members and develop relationships
  • Set up Planning Center schedules, communication with volunteers
  • Attend and contribute to weekly Creative Arts Team meetings (Creative Arts Meeting, Programming Meetings)
  • Assist the Lead Worship Pastor and other worship leaders in implement creative elements within our services
  • Lead on stage or in the sound booth each weekend
  • Plan and participate in SBYth Ministry worship service the 1st Wednesday of each month
    • Scheduling volunteers, Running rehearsals, Assist in setting up tech elements, Spend time getting to know students and building relationships each Wednesday of SBYth programming before small groups begins
  • Learn and develop tech skills
    • Computer Graphics, Lights, Sound, and Setting up the stage
  • Learn and develop skills with Cameras and video editing to aid in Communications
  • Learn to plan and utilize Creative Arts budgets.

Minimum Qualifications
