Job summary

The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Indiana is seeking a part-time Fine Arts & Education Lead to coordinate classes, events, and staff while supporting instructors and families. The role requires collaboration across arts and education programs, ensuring safe environments and clear communication with guardians.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 2+ years in related fields and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• At least two years of related experience in education, fine arts, ministry, youth programming, or organizational support.
• Ability to lead groups and work with diverse ages and backgrounds.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driver qualification standards.
• Background check, Safe From Harm, and CPR training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate schedules for instructors, counselors, students, classes, lessons, and events.
• Develop and support programs in music, drama, dance, visual arts, and education.
• Help maintain staffing levels and Safe From Harm ratios.
• Provide coverage when instructors or counselors are unavailable.
• Assist with training and provide staff with materials and resources needed for successful programs.
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding schedules, cancellations, student concerns, and account balances.
• Track attendance and help reinforce student behavior expectations.
• Keep classrooms, music rooms, art spaces, and supply areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
