Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks an Adjunct/Adjunct Therapist in Toms River, NJ to support Behavioral Health services. This per diem daytime role involves designing and evaluating therapeutic programs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering patient-centered care.

The incumbent will facilitate groups, perform assessments, and document progress while pursuing ongoing professional development in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recreational, leisure, occupational, and creative therapies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Experience in Psychiatry, Substance Abuse, and/or Geriatrics preferred.
• Certification in the applicable therapeutic discipline required, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate adjunct therapy groups to support patients’ emotional, social, cognitive, and physical well-being.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment interventions.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings to enhance patient outcomes.
• Document assessments, progress notes, and treatment interventions in accordance with standards.
• Support program development initiatives and community outreach efforts.
