Langdon Place of Dover is seeking an Activities Assistant to support planning and delivery of recreational, social, and wellness programs for residents, in collaboration with the Activities Director. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification, or ability to obtain.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to transport residents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, patience, creativity, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, organizing, and conducting recreational and social activities.
• Create and post monthly activity calendars.
• Encourage participation via individual visits and group programs.
• Escort residents to activities and events.
• Assist with outings and transport, including driving residents.
• Document participation and progress accurately.
• Observe and report changes in behavior, mood, or engagement.
• Maintain supplies and materials for activities.
• Support Resident and Family Council meetings as assigned.
• Collaborate with nursing and other departments to meet needs.
• Transport residents using facility vehicles for outings and appointments.
• Follow policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

As an Activities Assistant, you will support the planning and delivery of engaging recreational, social, and wellness programs designed to enhance residents' quality of life. Working closely with the Activities Director, you will help create meaningful experiences that promote resident engagement, independence, and overall well-being.

• Assist with community outings and transportation coordination, including driving residents

• Document resident participation and progress accurately

• Observe and report changes in resident behavior, mood, or engagement

• Maintain activity supplies and program materials

• Support Resident and Family Council meetings as assigned

• Collaborate with nursing and other departments to meet resident needs

• Transport residents using facility vehicles for outings, appointments, and community events

• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards

• Perform other duties as assigned
