Job summary

The Alice Center – Assisted Living Program is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to plan and lead recreational and social activities for residents in our ALP. You’ll create meaningful programs that promote independence, dignity, choice, and a high quality of life for older adults.

Responsibilities include tailoring activities to residents' interests, encouraging participation, and fostering social connections within the center and with the broader community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Continuing education credits in activities profession.
• Certification eligibility as Activity Director or Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, or 2 years relevant experience in age-appropriate social/recreational program, including 1 year in healthcare.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for working with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead recreational and social activities for ALP residents.
• Develop activities based on residents' interests and preferences.
• Encourage voluntary participation and foster social connections.
• Collaborate with facility and community partners.
