Job summary

The Alice Center is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to plan and lead recreational and social activities for residents of our Assisted Living Program (ALP). The role focuses on creating meaningful experiences that promote independence, dignity, and community engagement within a supportive residential setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current continuing education credits pertinent to the activities profession.
• Must be eligible for certification as an Activity Director or Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, or have two years of relevant experience in an age-appropriate social or recreational program, including one year in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead recreational and social activities for residents of the Assisted Living Program.
• Develop a variety of meaningful activities based on residents' interests and preferences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current continuing education credits pertinent to the activities profession.
• Must be eligible for certification as an Activity DirectororTherapeutic Recreation Specialist,orhave two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years in an age-appropriate social or recreational program, including one (1) year of full-time experience in a patient or resident activities program in a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
