Job summary

Associated Bank in Minnesota is seeking a Portfolio Manager focused on Commercial Real Estate to underwrite, monitor, and manage CRE lending relationships. This role evaluates credit opportunities and ensures adherence to lending policies and regulatory requirements.

You will work with Relationship Managers, Credit, and operations to deliver high-quality financial solutions while managing portfolio risk and supporting client growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years in Commercial Real Estate lending, underwriting, portfolio management, or credit approval.
• CFA designation or progress toward CFA by start date preferred.
• Access to reliable transportation and ability to lawfully drive.

Responsibilities

• Analyze borrower, guarantor, property, and market information to evaluate loan requests and reviews.
• Monitor portfolio performance and risk ratings for CRE relationships.
• Ensure compliance with lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support relationship managers and coordinate with Credit, operations, and other partners.
• Assist due diligence and analysis for prospective client opportunities and relationship expansion.
