Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a CRE Loan Specialist in the United States (Raleigh area) to lead the closing and funding of commercial real estate loans, including construction draws and documentation. The role requires close coordination with lenders, counsel, borrowers, and third-party consultants to ensure all closing conditions are met and funds are disbursed accurately.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience as a loan specialist.
• Experience with commercial real estate loan closing or construction loan experience.

Responsibilities

• Review Loan Approval for deal terms and consistency with term sheet and closing documents.
• Verify customized Loan Closing Documents match policies; provide comments to bank counsel and Line of Business.
• Coordinate with bank counsel and Line of Business to review the Loan Closing Checklist and documents.
• Request and review bids from third-party Construction Consultant(s) when required.
• Review and approve required project construction documents; forward to consultant as required.
• Interface with Lenders, Borrowers, Attorneys, Title Companies, General Contractors, Consultants, and Agents to ensure proper documentation for Closings and Draw Requests.
• Verify Payment Instructions from Title Company, Agent and Borrower.
• Maintain and update project Budget(s) as approved at closing; track changes; ensure funds to complete the project.
• Approve loan Budget changes within limits or refer for further approval.
• Review and approve Draw Requests and documents; provide to Loan Operations for disbursement.
• Manage disbursement and payment processes among bank participants and lenders.
• Provide support to Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to ensure construction quality and risk controls.
• Work with senior management, RMs, PMs, Credit Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit to ensure credit remains compliant.
• Provide documentation to Loan Operations to book, maintain and update loan tracking system.
• Manage loan document exceptions.
