Job summary

The ideal candidate will lead deal flow generation, perform rigorous financial analysis, and structure bespoke credit terms, contributing to a growing private investing platform within Wellington.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience in CRE debt or related lending strategies, with underwriting experience.
• Established industry relationships to originate deal flow across sponsors, borrowers, banks and advisors.
• Experience drafting, structuring, and negotiating term sheets, loan agreements and related credit documents.
• Strong bottom-up, fundamental approach to real estate research and credit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build the team’s investment pipeline through thematic, research-based sourcing and relationship-driven origination.
• Conduct in-depth underwriting of select transactions and develop investment recommendations.
• Structure and negotiate bespoke covenants and terms for financing transactions.
• Help manage portfolio positions and borrower/sponsor relationships; collaborate across Wellington’s investment platform.
