Northwest Bank seeks a CRE Relationship Manager to serve as a trusted business advisor and deliver a full spectrum of banking solutions for client financial objectives.

You will build Centers of Influence, manage a portfolio with risk and credit quality, and collaborate with portfolio management to help clients succeed while aligning with Northwest standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Marketing.
  • 6–8 years of CRE relationship management experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering strong sales performance.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial real estate lending, loan servicing, credit and non-credit products.
  • Strong negotiating skills in terms, loan structure and pricing.
  • Knowledge of risk management.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand commercial banking relationships and meaningful Centers of Influence relationships.
  • Prospect actively and successfully bring in new relationships to Northwest.
  • Engage with product partners to discuss cross-selling opportunities and referrals.
  • Achieve and exceed budget goals as assigned by region.
  • Participate in community and professional networking events.
  • Establish and maintain an ongoing prospect list and a calling/meeting schedule.
  • Encourage referrals from clients and their employees for all products and services.
  • Manage a commercial loan portfolio of clients.
  • Make loan presentations and recommendations to Credit and senior managers.
  • Partner with credit and portfolio management for annual reviews and renewals.
  • Ensure non-credit clients have appropriate treasury management and related services.
  • Collect on delinquent accounts as required.
  • Analyze financial statements to assess risk with Portfolio Management.
  • Complete loan closings in partnership with Portfolio Management.
  • Ensure credit files include current financials and agency reports.
  • Participate in ongoing sales, product and credit training.
  • Ensure compliance with Northwest policies and regulations.
  • Navigate MS Office and dept-specific software to maximize efficiency.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Operate on-site equipment.

The CRE Relationship Manager is responsible for serving as a trusted business advisor to clients and provide a full breadth of banking solutions to meeting their financial objectives and needs, while also establishing a network of referral sources and Centers of Influence with regular calling efforts to generate new business opportunities. The CRE Relationship Manager is also responsible for managing a portfolio of relationships, ensuring exceptional client experience, while appropriately managing risk, credit quality, servicing, etc. in accordance with Northwest standards and in partnership with a portfolio management team.

The CRE Relationship Manager is also responsible for managing a portfolio of relationships, ensuring exceptional client experience, while appropriately managing risk, credit quality, servicing, etc. in accordance with Northwest standards and in partnership with a portfolio management team.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and expand existing commercial banking relationships, and meaningful “Centers of Influence” relationships
  • Prospect actively and successfully bring in new relationships to Northwest
  • Engage with the various product partners on a regular basis to discuss cross-selling opportunities and referrals to expand and deepen client relationships
  • Achieve and exceed budget goals as assigned individually and by region
  • Actively participate in community and professional networking events
  • Establish and maintain an ongoing prospect list, and a set calling and meeting schedule for prospects, existing clients, and COIs
  • Encourage existing clients to provide ongoing referrals for all types of products and services, and clients and their employees to maintain their personal banking at Northwest
  • Manage a commercial loan portfolio of clients
  • Make loan presentations and recommendations to Credit, team leaders, and senior line of business managers as required
  • Partner with credit and portfolio management to ensure annual reviews and line of credit renewals are completed on a timely basis
  • Ensure non-credit clients have appropriate treasury management and other related commercial services, and risk ratings are appropriate
  • As required, collect on delinquent accounts
  • Analyze financial statements and related credit material to stay apprised of client performance and assess risk on a continuous basis in conjunction with Portfolio Management
  • Complete loan closings in partnership with Portfolio Management
  • Ensure all credit files include current financial statements, agency reports, etc. in partnership with Portfolio Management
  • Participate in continued sales, product and credit training
  • Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
  • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
  • Work as part of a team

Education + Experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Marketing
  • 6-8 years of CRE relationship management experience
  • Experience consistently delivering strong sales performance
  • Extensive comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commercial real estate lending, loan servicing, credit and non-credit products.
  • Strong negotiating skills in terms, loan structure and pricing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk management.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
